HONOMŪ ROAD
Integrated landscape design for a 3.2-acre residential parcel in Honomū.

Private Residence | Honomū, HI
This integrated landscape design at a residential parcel in Honomū required slope stabilization for a perilously steep embankment along the Paheʻeheʻe Stream. The site called for a management system for stormwater flow during large rain events using a combination of biotechnical erosion control strategies and hardscaping. Aesthetics were a primary concern in the design process and were achieved using appropriate edible, medicinal, ornamental, and multifunctional plants that benefited the site’s long-term health and appearance while increasing the property’s resale value.
